As July 4 approaches, here's a list of fireworks and other July 4 activities taking place throughout the Mt. Washington Valley!

Summer is in full swing at Settlers Green, welcoming new hangout spots for families including the re-opening of Ryan Family Amusements, a new Sam Adams Beer Garden, and new stores and food options

Settlers Green has awarded scholarships to three local graduates that will be continuing their education this fall at secondary schools. Each year, a student or the parent of a student may apply for a $1500 scholarship. Settlers Green awards one to a Fryeburg Academy senior and another to a Kennett High School senior.

Ryan Family Amusements is expanding its 5,000 square foot arcade to include a 5,500 square foot indoor inflatable airpark in early 2024. With the expansion, Ryan’s will be adding a kitchen for food and beverage service for its guests, group events and parties.

Settlers Green is welcoming women’s professional clothing retailer, Ann Taylor Factory, set to open in Spring 2024. The 4,516 square foot store will be located in Suite C18 in the Courtyard of Settlers Green.

Meredith Village Savings Bank will open a new, state-of-the-art banking office at Settlers Crossing in North Conway in 2024. Construction is expected to begin in the spring.

For shoppers craving a bit of seaside remedy this holiday season, Settlers Green is welcoming Maine’s Sea Bags as a pop-up shop, open now through December 31 in Suite B8.

PR Restaurants, LLC, the leading franchisee of Panera Bread in New England, is announcing the opening of its newest Panera bakery-cafe in North Conway at Settlers Green Streetside next to Barley & Salt Tap House and Kitchen. This new restaurant is 3,500 square-feet with indoor seating for 65 customers, a newly constructed patio area with 20 outdoor seats, and a drive-thru window for convenient takeout orders.

Aspen Dental is opening a 3,471 square foot office in North Conway, offering affordable dental services and emergency care. The office is part of a 5,875 square foot commercial site developed by OVP Management, Inc. on Route 16 in North Conway.

A new dining experience has arrived at Settlers Green bringing flavorful and fast casual Asian food with street style inspiration to its already solid mix of locally-owned eateries. Mountain Moose Noodles and Asian Street Food is now open at Suite A28 across from the Settlers Green Customer Service Office.

OVP Management Inc. recently gifted nearly one acre of commercial land on Hemlock Lane in North Conway to the Mt. Washington Valley Trails Association for it to be incorporated into the master project plan for the North Conway Recreation Path.

Trendy outdoor brand Cotopaxi to open its first-ever outlet store at Settlers Green this summer. This comes on the heels of several other new store announcements including outdoor brands Swix and Merrell.

The world’s leading hike and outdoor footwear brand, Merrell, will open a store at Settlers Green this spring.

Settlers Green continues its shopping experience evolution with a series of new stores and eateries, expanding favorites, new public art and plenty of special events to celebrate its 35^th anniversary leading up to the grand opening of Market Basket.

In the last five years, OVP Management Inc. has added REI Co-Op and its first in the nation experience store concept, along with flagship outlet stores for British outdoor brands Regatta Great Outdoors and Craghoppers. Now Settlers Green is poised to add Norwegian sporting goods company Swix to its elite list of outdoor brands that have entered the United States market by way of North Conway.

In November, Settlers Green donated nearly $4500 in donations to two local nonprofit organizations with the help of its shoppers during what is the busiest month of the year at the shopping center.

Settlers Green is continuing its efforts to evolve in an ever-changing retail climate, bringing the community a grocery store, opportunities to explore new public art, and expansion of some of its most popular family brands, all set to culminate as the shopping center enters its 35-year anniversary in January 2023. Additionally, OVP Management Inc., which develops and manages Settlers Green, is working with town officials and the area housing coalition to develop housing and residences.

The seventh annual Festival of Trees is Carroll County RSVP’s signature event lighting up Mount Washington Valley with the magic of the 2022 holiday season and offering a Christmas tradition for residents and visitors from near and far.

Under Armour is hosting a Grand Re-opening, July 20-24, to celebrate its relocation within Settlers Green. Festivities include live entertainment, free fitness classes and a free gift with purchase prize kiosk. Shoppers will also have the chance to save 20% off purchases during the event when they visit the new experiential concept store.

OVP Management, Inc. has broken ground on Settlers Green Streetside Phase II, which will include a 70,000 square foot Market Basket and an additional 4,646 square foot building next to Barley & Salt Tap House and Kitchen. The $30 million expansion project began in March.

Settlers Green hosted its 4th Annual Plein-Air Competition at Settlers Green on Friday, August 13, and has selected a winner from the four artists that competed. Artist Linda McDermott of Franconia, New Hampshire, was selected as the winner for her oil painting depicting the scenes at the new hammock garden at Settlers Green.
