Settlers Green recognizes three local graduates with scholarships

Settlers Green has awarded scholarships to three local graduates that will be continuing their education this fall at secondary schools. Each year, a student or the parent of a student may apply for a $1500 scholarship. Settlers Green awards one to a Fryeburg Academy senior and another to a Kennett High School senior.

This year’s co-recipients for Fryeburg Academy are Melanie Perreault and Samara Santos. Melanie is an employee at Old Navy and will be studying at Central Maine Community College this fall. Samara worked at Francesca’s during the school year and is headed out to South Dakota State University. Eliana Newton was the recipient for Kennett High School; She works at Carter’s. Eliana is attending St. Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont, this fall.

Settlers Green has awarded local students thousands of dollars in scholarship funds over the years. Applicants can earn an additional $500 for reaching 5-year and 10-year milestones as mall employees. In addition to education scholarships, mall employees enjoy a variety of benefits including discounts at select stores and restaurants and prize programs.
